And with a new year, comes...
My Resolutions
Body
Eat more veggies
Get at least 7 hours of sleep at night
Go to the gym 4 to 5 times a week
Let sweets truly be a treat
Drink more tea, and less coffee
Drink more water
Mind
Take time each day to quiet your mind: 10 minutes before or after bed to reflect
Breathe, and count to three when you find
yourself negatively reacting
Take time to admire the natural beauty of the
world and take a photo when it moves you
Be happy when others are happy - quiet
your opinions and listen
Spend more time listening to music; spend less
time watching television
Take a yoga class as often as possible
Make others look good; point out what makes them uniquely them. It will fill you with happiness knowing they know how much you notice and care
Friends
Call your friends; and call them back. Stay
active in their lives.
Visit your friends. Once a month plan a trip to
see at least one friend
Be supportive. You don’t always need to share
your opinion, especially when it isn't asked for
Remember birthdays
Be thoughtful – write letters, send a nice text,
simply ask how their days are going
Family
Watch one movie a week with my parents
Empty and
load the dishwasher more for Mom
Don’t snap; breathe and count to three
Call Chris and Drew more often; call Chris once
a week
Be thoughtful, send letters every so often. Let
them know how much you care about them
Organization
Put money in savings every paycheck. 100 to 200.
Or whatever you can manage
Be diligent about applying to jobs
Do the work that needs to be done at work. Don’t
put it off.
Clean up your room before you go to bed every
night
Keep closet and drawers organized and clean
Stay active on my blog. This space is for me to share and clear my head
Overall, I want 2013
to be a year in which I try to better myself and the environment I make for
myself. I want everyone in my life to know how much I care. Spend time trying
to be better than you were the day before. Work on making all of your future
plans come true.
These are the hopes for my happiness project!
